You can edit a WordPress website from the WordPress dashboard. The exact editing options depend on whether your site uses the Block Editor, a site editor, a page builder or a custom theme.
1. Log in to WordPress
Open your WordPress administration area and sign in with an account that has permission to edit the website.
From the dashboard, you can access pages, posts, media, menus and other website settings.
2. Choose what you want to edit
For a normal website page, go to Pages and select the page you want to change.
For blog content, go to Posts instead.
If you want to change an image, logo or other uploaded file, you can manage it through Media.
3. Edit the content
Open the relevant page or post in the editor. With the WordPress Block Editor, individual pieces of content are managed as blocks.
You can edit text, headings, images, links, buttons and other supported content directly within the editor.
Make changes carefully and avoid deleting content that is still needed elsewhere.
4. Check the layout
After editing, use the preview option to check how the page appears.
Pay particular attention to:
Headings and text formatting
Images
Links and buttons
Spacing and alignment
Mobile appearance
If your site uses a page builder, use that builder’s editing interface rather than assuming every element can be changed through the standard WordPress editor.
5. Save or update the page
When you are satisfied with the changes, select Save Draft, Save, or Update, depending on the page’s current status and your WordPress setup.
If the page is already published, Update normally makes the changes live.
6. Check the live website
Â
Open the published page and confirm that the changes appear correctly. If you do not see them immediately, check whether your website uses a caching system that may need to be cleared.
