How do I view current bid strategy settings?

The bid strategy is the core instruction that tells Google Ads how to manage your bids in the auction to achieve your campaign goals. It can be viewed and managed in two main areas: within the Campaign Settings, or in the dedicated Bid Strategies section.

Here is a simple, step-by-step guide on how to check your current bid strategy.

Viewing via Campaign Settings (Most Common & Fastest Method)

This is the fastest way to check the bid strategy for an individual campaign, and to see any associated targets or caps.

Step 1: Navigate to Campaigns

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.

  2. In the left-hand navigation menu, click Campaigns.

Step 2: Access Campaign Settings

  1. Find the specific campaign you want to check in the table and click on its
    name or directly click

Step 3: Locate the Bidding Section

  1. On the Campaign Settings page, scroll down until you see the Bidding section.

  2. This section will clearly state your current bid strategy.
